APAP|NYC 2015 : Together
APAP|NYC 2015, January 9-13, is the membership conference of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters. Held each January in New York City, the conference is the world's largest networking forum and marketplace for performing arts professionals. More than 3,600 presenters, artists, managers, agents and emerging arts leaders from all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries convene in the city for five days of professional development, business deals and exciting performances.
At APAP|NYC 2015, we unite to ignite the collective energy and expertise that defines us as the performing arts presenting industry. We engage with each other to share information and ideas that enhance our professional knowledge and growth. We transform contacts into meaningful connections born of a collaborative, inclusive and entrepreneurial spirit for what we can achieve individually and as a field. APAP Plenary Sessions
A highlight of the conference, the plenary sessions bring together all attendees to hear from some of the most inspiring creative thinkers, thought leaders and artists from around the world who have influence on our field and our future.
The APAP|NYC EXPO Hall is the largest global performing arts market for the presenting field. It's the place for you to research artists, touring productions, talent, expertise and services. More than 1,000 artist showcases light up stages across New York City during APAP|NYC. Only APAP|NYC gives you the opportunity to see artists from around the world perform live and meet with their representatives. Special Interest Sessions and Networking Meetings
Special interest professional development sessions are organized by members and focus on specific areas of practice, research, current issues or topics of interest to the field. Networking and consortia meetings give you an opportunity to meet colleagues, talk about issues and explore opportunities for partnerships or collaborations.
Pre-conference programs are FREE and open to the public! These member-organized, interactive half-day forums and special sessions focus on topics in dance, theater, world music, jazz, festivals, youth and family programming, classical arts and so much more.
Consultation Salons are one-on-one consultation sessions with experts and specialists in the field, running throughout the five days of APAP|NYC. Sign up online for a meeting time later this fall.
January in NYC is the Place to Be for the Performing Arts
APAP|NYC is part of "January in NYC is the Place to Be for the Performing Arts," celebrating the unmatched convergence of performing arts professionals, audiences and events in New York City. Every January, more than 45,000 people from around the globe flock to New York City for public festivals and industry gatherings, featuring over 1,500 performances by thousands of world-class artists of all disciplines and genres, including world music, theatre, dance, jazz, and more.
